I grew up in North Kingstown, attended North Kingstown public schools, and have lived in our community for more than 40 years.

As a parent of two students and an active member of our school community, I have spent years attending School Committee meetings, serving on district committees, volunteering in our schools, and engaging with families.

I am running to bring informed, independent, and thoughtful leadership to the School Committee, with a focus on academic excellence, effective governance, and strong community engagement.

Improve transparency by providing supporting materials, presentations, and policy drafts more timely before meetings whenever possible.
Create more predictable and efficient meetings through better agenda planning and fewer last-minute agenda changes.
Ensure families have clear information about curriculum, surveys, and available opt-out processes.
Expand public access through livestreaming of advisory meetings whenever feasible.
Foster respectful, policy-driven governance that encourages community participation and constructive dialogue.

Promote transparent budgeting with timely financial reporting and meaningful budget-to-actual comparisons throughout the year.
Use data and long-term planning to guide staffing, facilities, maintenance, and capital investment decisions.
Build sustainable budgets that balance current needs with future obligations and opportunities.
Evaluate school safety measures and investments through thoughtful community engagement and evidence-based decision-making.
